The sterile, single use 63 Microdialysis Catheter is intended for use in Adipose tissue, resting Skeletal Muscle tissue and in Hepatic tissue during open surgery.
It is available in 2 different sizes of membrane and shaft lengths. The catheter is easily introduced into the tissue with a splitable introducer and can be implanted for several days. Fixation devices are included to provide extra security for difficult catheter positions.
The catheter’s inlet tubing is connected to a Microdialysis pump and the outlet tubing ends with a microvial holder where the sample is collected into small microvials. The samples can be analyzed in the ISCUSflex Microdialysis Analyzer for Glucose, Lactate, Pyruvate, Glycerol, Glutamate and Urea or sent to the laboratory for further analysis.
The 63 Microdialysis catheter is suitable for different applications such as monitoring of ischemia in free flaps, metabolic studies in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle tissue especially in obese subjects.
Microdialysis shall not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or therapy.
Intended purpose
The Peripheral Tissue Microdialysis catheter is intended to enable microdialysis in subcutaneous adipose tissue (63), resting skeletal muscle (63), hepatic tissue (61, 63) or in the intraperitoneal cavity (61).
The 63 Microdialysis Catheter is included in the group of Peripheral Tissue Microdialysis catheters .
